Beautiful Samantha

An "old" friend of mine from high school volunteered to be my model for me, and of course I said YES! Sam is one beautiful girl, you will hear me say this lots! I've known her since high school, we were never very close, but older sister and I were really close my senior year of high school. But for this shoot it was mainly practice for how to pose seniors, and to show people who watch my page that I am able to do senior shots.

Sam was a brave girl because the day we had scheduled to shoot was a windy 50 degree day. And she climbed a sleep rocky hill in heel boots! Have I said she Rocks yet? Well she does!

Putting a chair on a railroad tracks might seem weird but I love the look of it.

Sam showed me these rad/beautiful shoes she bought for her sisters wedding. I had to get the beautiful against the rugged tracks.

Her nails and ring were super rad too! ( I talk like I was in the 80's but it's the best words to describe such things! )

While my sister and I drove around to look for locations on this chilly day we found an awesome red door on a local church.

Sam has such a great smile...especially when she's laughing at something dumb Justin (my boyfriend) did :)

There are only a few shots that are favorites of mine, and one is of eyes! Her eyes are a beautiful hazel, and I just wanted to capture them on photo.

I still can't believe how brave Sam was with these next ones! She was out in 50 degree weather in shorts, heels, and a T-shirt!

Thank you Sam for spending this chilly afternoon with us! I know how much that hot chocolate at the end meant to ya...hehe. You are beautiful, and if you'll let me again we should have another fun session but on a MUCH warmer day!

The Sammy & Ryan Adventure

I sent out a message asking if anyone wanted to a free session, that would just be fun for me, and hope for them too! :) And my friend/co-worker was one of the first to pipe up. She got my instantly excited! She is just a free fun loving person, and it got me excited to shoot a "hippy" style session!

I had this very natural session planned, since I found out that they are both one with nature :) So I took them to my childhood backyard. In the back 40 there is a broken down barn and empty silo. They were such troopers and climbed into this silo. But before doing so I made sure to reassure them that they were not staring in a horror film of any kind. After a good laugh they climbed down down and got comfy. There wasn't much light coming through but just using the natural light coming down it made for some dramatic shots, I am happy with the outcome, and so were they!

Sammy and Ryan are two of the cutest people I've met in life so far! There quirkiness to each other made the afternoon a blast! I am so glad I got the shots they really wanted - (and I hope they love them as much as I do)!

This photo cracks me up EVERY TIME! Ryan was making the face first, and without Sam knowing that he was doing so made her own face! They are just too cute!

Besides all the quirkiness they are totally sweet to one another. I caught some great sweet fun loving moments between these two love birds!

Even their dog Oliver got into the action. He's a very energetic guy, but when it came time for the camera her was sure ready! And did AWESOME!

And before I end this I have to post the photos they REALLY wanted!  Another reason why these two were so much fun!

Sammy had a little trouble keeping a straight face :) I just LOVE Ryan's face though whiles she (and I) is (are) giggling!!!!

And these are their gardening hats! They are just so cute!

Thank you again Sam and Ryan for letting me have fun and photographing you two! This was a fun session or as I called it - my modern hippy session - was soooo much fun! I am so glad they volunteered to do do it! They are a great couple, and so down to earth. It was a great way to spend one of the very few Spring days we've had this year with you two, and Oliver!

Spring Fun with the Jones Family

I was very excited when I got an email from Kristen Jones. She wanted some family photos done that weren't entirely posed. Brett is a very energetic guy and doesn't want to sit on a sunny day. Knowing that her boy was energetic one she told me that she didn't want super posed pictures, so we kept them to a minimum.

All he wanted to do was throw sticks in the river. So i let him. Boys will be boys :)

Brett also found a feather he would not let that thing out of his sight.

Kristen and Adam are a cute couple. Even when they'd argue a little they made me giggle. Being a parent is a full time job, especially when it becomes nice out after the cold winter. Kids just want to run! Parents just don't get enough credit now a days, but Kristen and Adam are doing a GREAT job!

Adam was a trooper, he had free beer waiting for him but he stayed all the way through. What a great guy!

Just as we were about to be done with out mini session, Kristen found a small grouping of some yellow flowers. The first blooms I have seen this Spring! The were so tiny and a breath of fresh air. It meant that Winter was finally gone!  (for now)

The first day of Spring finally came and I am so happy that I got to hang out with such a great family, even though it was just for a short time. The Red Mill is always a beautiful place, plus it keeps giving me a change to play in the mud. Maybe next time I will be in the water for my next shoot :) Was so tempted to hop in the river for a few shots....next time it will be a sure thing!

Thank you Jones Family! You are a beautiful family, and you are great parents! You were tons of fun, and hope to see you soon!

1 yr Old Kendall

On a chilly Spring afternoon I got to hang out with 1 year old Kendall. We went to the beautiful Red Mill in Waupaca Wisconsin, even though it was full of snow still, and lots of mud....we got some great shots! Kendall was a little smiley guy, he was just so gosh darn cute and made me smile the whole time!

This photo was taken when I checked out the Red Mill before the huge snow fall we got, but the site was still just as beautiful afterwards.

To get this photo I am not going to lie I was sitting is pretty cold mud :) Made the family laugh, but I think they were pretty shocked that I did that. At the end my jeans were pretty muddy, but SOO worth it!

Those little hands :)

I actually almost fell into the river with this shot too...I get so wrapped up in the little guy I don't know where my footing is!

This shot makes me smile EVERY time I look at it...doesn't it just make your heart and soul happy? :)

Thank you Shanna Krueger, James Haase and little Kendall. Hope you enjoy these hopefully as much as I did. The time we spent together was a blast, and you you both have a wonderful little man :)
